The Pearl last reflection

I didn’t enjoy reading The Pearl by John Steinbeck . It was well written but moved too fast. The main event in the book took place in the very beginning. I wish that the author could have made the book more detailed. most of the events happened very fast and there wasn’t enough detail for you to get a picture in your head of what it might have looked like. I did like how in the beginning they found the pearl and were excited thinking that it would change their lives. Later they found out that it changed their lives in a negative way and threw the pearl back in the gulf. I think that the lesson the author showed through the story is that sometimes good things come with bad consequences.
