Turning Point

Authors Note: This writing piece is about the importance of a quote in the short story Thank You Ma'am by Langston Hughes

"Roger looked at the door- looked at the woman- looked at the door- and went to the sink" This quote is the turning point of this story. It is when Roger the main character's mindset completely changes. Earlier in the story he consistently tried to escape the woman. This shows that he is no longer trying to escape,  which means that his mindset has changed. He realizes that it might be beneficial for him so he decides against escaping. At the end of the story he had ended up learning a lesson from this experience.

Rebellion

Authors Note: This is what i predict will happen next in Dead Man's Path by Chinua Achebe.

I think that the barriers he put on the path will be broken down by the villagers who use the path. I think this because it was said that the path is considered a ritual to some and it has been used to visit the cemetery for a very long time. They believe that the path connects them to those who have passed away. The path is important to them so I think they will not tolerate it being closed off.

Successful

Authors note: This piece is about what i predict would happen in the book The Outsiders by S.E Hinton if the book continued on.

I predict that Ponyboy Curtis from The Outsiders by S.E Hinton will go on to being successful in life. It is mentioned throughout the book that Ponyboy attends school and is very bright. I  think that he will continue to be successful in school and eventually move on to college. He will then live a normal life like most people.
